Wednesday Morning Poetry

For unknown reasons on the way into work this morning, poetry kept popping into my head. I even had to pull over to write some of it down. These are almost haiku, but they don't fit the syllable patterns.

looking at his lawn
grass surrounding ankles
neighbor stands forlorn

morning commute
river beckons
eager for paddles dip
