This is part of the ceiling in the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. The glass flowers were made by Dale Chihuly. We have both admired his glass work from afar so this was a must see destination during our adventure in Las Vegas.

PhotoHunters: Small

Small Kemp's ridley turtle.
I took this in 2004 at Xcaret Eco Theme Park in Mexico. The park does both rescue and breeding of turtles. This fellow was in a tank with about a dozen other babies. Amy enjoyed seeing these because the New England Aquarium, one of her favorite places, has Kemp's ridley turtles.

PhotoHunters: Curvy

I took these a year and a half ago on a trip to the park with my brother, sister-in-law and nephew. N loves going to the park, and that day the curvy slide was a big draw. I couldn't decide which of these I liked better the one with N and his Daddy, or the one of N and his Mommy so I decided to share them both.

PhotoHunters: Paper

This paper fish hangs over my desk with 3 friends. It brings me great joy for a number of reasons - I really like fish, I think this is a fun piece of art (wish I could remember the artist's name), and it reminds me of my summer vacations in the Adirondacks because I bought it at the Adirondack Craft Center in Lake Placid.

PhotoHunters: Dirty

N was 19 months old when this was taken. We were hiking on a rainy day and he insisted that he was not going to ride in the backpack. What fun he had stomping in _all_ the puddles - most of them at least twice. He showed great promise as a hiker. This summer at 3 3/4 he climbed a small mountain.

Skylight at Xcaret a park in the Yucatan of Mexico.
The butterflies pictured represent the species which you can interact with in the nearby butterfly house. Directly below the skylight is the underground river, which you can swim/float through. This was taken from the balcony. This shot was taken during our honeymoon in 2004.
