PhotoHunters: Plastic
That is possibly my favorite piece of plastic at the bottom of the photo. I took this last summer (2006) as some pals and I were preparing for an evening paddle on the Charles.
I'm jealous. I LOVE to paddle, but only on calm waters. I paddle the way I hike - to see beautiful areas I couldn't see otherwise, from a unique vantage point. I don't paddle for an adrenalin rush. Sadly, in Israel it's all sea kayaking on the open waters of the Mediterranean. I did actually take a course years ago, but it wasn't for me. All the 23 year old jocks in the class with me loved it though. For that matter, so did my husband. Personally I found the surf in to shore to be terrifying, not fun. Give me Tomales Bay or the Long Island Sound any time...
